Lincoln Parking Structure - Lone Tree, Colo.
This $22 million, design-build parking structure project is the largest of the parking structures Kiewit built for Colorado's Transportation Expansion project, also known as T-REX.
At 560,000 square feet, the seven-level structure has 2,105 parking stalls, one underground parking level and six elevated tiers. Originally slated to be a five-level garage, the Regional Transportation District decided mid-construction to add two more levels in anticipation of an increased number of riders.
The Lincoln structure was coordinated within a master schedule that encompassed more than five years of construction which included the highway and light-rail construction. Phasing of the structure was critical to allow construction (typically rail and paving) to continue. Lincoln Station is the hub of the future Transit-Oriented Development in that area.
