Taxiway Bravo Rehabilitation 2
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Located at the Colorado Springs Airport, the project consisted of an asphalt mill and overlay of the taxiways, a full-depth reconstruction of a portion of the taxiway, new asphalt shoulders and islands and electrical work. On average, the runway supports 155,000 air operations a year. The project also upgraded a pond, the first of nine pond upgrades in a program conducted by the airport. Kiewit completed the project early, under budget and with zero injuries.
The Taxiway Bravo project was recognized by the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) with a prestigious Quality in Construction (QIC) Award.
