Mountain View Corridor provides an alternative route to I-15 in Utah through a 35-mile-long freeway from I-80 to SR-73. The Utah Department of Transportation awarded Mountain View Corridor Constructors, a Kiewit-Clyde Joint Venture a design-build contract to complete final portion, also known as Segments 7 & 8.
This Project (known as Segment 7 & 8) consisted of constructing 3.1 miles of two lane future freeway construction in each direction from 4100 South to SR-201 and ramps to California Avenue. It also included intersection improvements at 3500 South and 5600 West along with 5600 West and California Avenue. Additional elements included construction of a service interchange at SR-201, including reconstruction of 5600 West ramps at SR-201 and replacing the deck at the 5600 West structure over SR-201, reconstruction of SR-201 north and south frontage roads and widening of SR-201.
