This multi-phased $28 million project completely modernized an existing community hospital in Hastings, Neb. The project work included adding a seven-story addition to an existing bed tower and a one-story addition to the surgery wing. Renovated hospital areas included behavioral health, radiology, labor/delivery, intensive care unit, PACU, pre-op, pain management, endoscopy, recovery and various administrative and support areas.
The iStructure Tempe project involved the construction of a 60,000-square-foot building including a 31,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art data center built to withstand the effects of a natural disaster. The facility infrastructure included multiple UPS systems, redundant generators and a backup water supply system.
The iStructure Omaha project involved the construction of an 89,000-square-foot data center and office facility on a fast-track schedule.
The Goodwill Retail Center project included constructing a 15,500-square-foot facility containing retail space, a donation area with a covered canopy and warehouse space. An illuminated two-story vestibule defines the entrance to the building.
Constructed for Aksarben Future Trust and designed by DLR Group, this parking structure was completed in 2008 as part of the Aksarben Village Infrastructure project. The parking garage contains 650 stalls and is a precast concrete structure.
The Toyota Elephant Passage Exhibit at the Denver Zoo is the first LEED® Platinum certified exhibit in the country. As part of the project scope of work, Kiewit demolished 17 existing buildings and redeveloped approximately 10 acres of Zoo space. The exhibit features six expansive outdoor yards, three animal crossings and more than 1.1 million gallons of water for the exhibit animals to enjoy. A unique gasification plant, which is designed to convert animal waste into a power source, was built adjacent to the exhibition area.
The $21 million Maui Marketplace project involved the masonry construction of a 300,000-square-foot retail space on a 20-acre site. Five major retail tenants and a branch bank, added to the contract during construction, occupy the space. The scope of work included placing 2,200 concrete masonry unit blocks a day, totaling more than 200,000. The team's 30 crew members placed the blocks using 600 linear feet of E-Z Scaffold.
The 9400 Dodge project included the renovation of core and shell components of a three-story office building and three separate tenant fit outs. Core and shell improvements included the removal and replacement of all existing finishes, restroom upgrades and renovation of the main entryway.
