999 Third Avenue Plaza Renovations

Kiewit renovated and expanded indoor and outdoor spaces at the Wells Fargo office tower in downtown Seattle. This 40,000 SF project included replacing the plaza waterproofing membrane and concrete paving; creating retail and plaza additions; repairing parking garage structural steel where corroded; replacing the plaza stairs and plaza landscape planters; installing new glass handrail at exterior plaza edges, and upgrading exterior finishes on plaza Levels 1 and 2. With the building occupied above and below the floor under construction, Kiewit took the necessary steps to prevent interference with other operations. We also confined equipment, materials storage, and operations to the limits of the project premises at this congested project location.
