WMATA Bethesda South Mezzanine Rehabilitation Project

Kiewit is preparing to respond to the request for proposals (RFP) issued by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) to provide design-build services for the Bethesda South Mezzanine Rehabilitation Project.

The project scope includes the design and construction of a new mezzanine at the south end of the Bethesda Metro station, in Bethesda, Maryland. The south mezzanine will connect to a new entrance allowing for entry at the south end of the station.

Primary elements of the new mezzanine include precast stairs, escalators, elevators, pylons, a kiosk, exit fare machine and fare gates.

Bids are due to Kiewit by January, 10 2024 at 11:00 a.m. EST.

Kiewit’s bid is due to WMATA on 1/17/23. Subcontractor bids received by Kiewit by January 10 will be considered for inclusion with Kiewit’s proposal submittal. (Bids recieved after that date will be considered upon contract award to Kiewit)

DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) GOAL AND CERTIFICATION INFORMATION

Kiewit is committed to meeting or exceeding the 20% DBE participation goal established for this project.  Only the participation of minority and women-owned firms that have been certified by WMATA’s Office of Procurement and Materials as DBE’s can be counted towards satisfaction of the established goal. The Office of Procurement and Materials publishes an online DBE Directory, which provides information regarding available DBE’s in all or nearly all construction trades, as well as providers of all types of goods and services.
