Cherne, a subsidiary of Kiewit, has been working on major projects at the Wood River Refinery since 1997. Most recently, Cherne oversaw construction and construction management for the CORE Project after successful completion of a new hydrocrakcer and ultra light diesel units at this same refinery location.

Kiewit Offshore Services fabricated 39 refinery modules at the Ingleside facility to alleviate the workforce needed on site at the Texas City Refinery.
