Cherne, a subsidiary of Kiewit, has been working on major projects at the Wood River Refinery since 1997. Most recently, Cherne oversaw construction and construction management for the CORE Project after successful completion of a new hydrocrakcer and ultra light diesel units at this same refinery location.
In addition to site work, Kiewit Offshore Services Fabricated 32 modules weighing 15,000 tons for the CORE Project.
TIC, a subsidiary of Kiewit, was awarded the contract to build the O’Connor Gas Plant. The plant was designed for an initial capacity of 110 million cubic feet per day (MMcfd). Before completion, TIC was awarded a second contract to construct the expansion to 160 MMcfd.
TIC, a subsidiary of Kiewit, performed mechanical installation of two separate, Linde designed and furnished sulfur recovery units in 2006.
Completed in 2010, Kiewit fabricated 80 modules for the crude expansion project in Port Arthur, Texas. A total of 19 barge shipments were made over an 11-month period. Modules were bolted construction consisting of both pipe racks and process units.
TIC, a subsidiary of Kiewit, was the general contractor for the grassroots pilot plant for helium and carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction. Scope of work included site prep, fencing, underground utilities, concrete foundations, mechanical and electrical for the 400 MMscfd gas plant.
