Henry Ford Health Central Energy Hub
DETROIT, MICHIGAN | DESIGN-BUILD FINANCE OPERATE MAINTAIN (DBFOM)
Henry Ford Health Energy Partners, led by Kiewit Development Company and including Kiewit Power Constructors Co. and Veolia Energy Operating Services, LLC, is partnering with Henry Ford Health to design and build the system’s new Central Energy Hub (or CEH), a key component of its Detroit campus transformation known as Destination: Grand. The CEH will provide heating and cooling to the new hospital facilities and incorporate advanced technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, supporting Henry Ford Health’s overall goal of achieving net zero emissions.

DOE Loan and Inflation Reduction Act Support
We are experienced with the protocols of executing projects under DOE funding including, but not limited to, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance, Sole Source Justification (SSJ) procurement, the Buy American act for sourcing of goods and services, Prevailing Wage/Davis Bacon Act wage compliance, Cyber-Security requirements, and ARRA Reporting. Kiewit provides prevailing wage, apprenticeship and Buy American processes supporting the qualifications for IRA investment and production tax credits.
