Transmission, Distribution and Substation PMO+ Program
Various, Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah
The PMO+ Program consists of design and construction services for a five-year capital expenditure program on transmission line, distribution lines and distribution substations in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah. Work is being performed as an integrated team with the client through a project management office (PMO) for decision making, with the goal of quick implementation of engineering, permitting, material management and construction works. This progressive design-build contract consists of multiple task orders to upgrade distribution lines, including wood pole replacements, installation of advanced protection and control program (relays, fuses, reclosers, etc.) and replacement of bare primary conductor with tree wire or spacer cable (covered conductors). In addition, a portion of existing overhead line will be moved underground using open trench and horizontal directional drilling (HDD) techniques with concrete vaults and manholes to provide easy access for future maintenance. The substation work is primarily brownfield work integrating fiber and SCADA for enhanced communication. The project has a goal of replacing hundreds of miles of line per year throughout the distribution network. Regional construction offices are located in Medford, Oregon and Salt Lake City, Utah.
