The Salvation Army Renaissance Village

The Salvation Army Renaissance Village includes a 16-unit mental health center and 33 units for transitional housing. It also has new heating and cooling systems. In addition to the transitional housing and mental health center, the facility has an Early Head Start program, a federally funded program for pregnant women and families with children younger than three years old.

The Renaissance Center consisted of a new 71,000 SF, multi-use building with approximately 50 Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Mental Health Respite living units throughout the second to fourth floors, and 21,000 SF of administration/office space at the ground level, constructed in the former parking area of the Lied Renaissance Center (LRC). Following the construction of the new building, the 175,000 SF, nine-story Lied Renaissance Center was abated and demolished, and a new parking area was built in its place. Additionally, the mechanical and electrical services at the remaining campus buildings were improved, as the former LRC was the campus Central Plant and the existing utilities were then obsolete.
