Omaha, Nebraska
Completely KIDS assists more than 2,000 children and families each year in overcoming barriers to their success. The work at Completely KIDS takes place before and after the school day, providing a safe, academically supportive and enriching environment for kids from seven Omaha public elementary and middle schools, and local homeless shelters.
This project includes a 15,000 SF addition, along with a 17,000 SF renovation of the existing space. The addition and renovation includes a new kitchen and dining space, a combination gymnasium and assembly hall, new classrooms, a library, a teen room, upgraded restroom facilities, and administrative space. A large gross motor skills room, teaching kitchen, and teen room act to further enrich the kids’ experience. The construction of the addition consists od concrete foundation walls and structural steel. The exterior of the building consists of a combination of wall panels – storefront and curtain wall, and panel system.
Unique features are the large exposed concrete wall at the main entrance to the addition, and the large custom art piece commissioned for the exterior of the building.
