Saddle Hills Compressor Station

Spirit River, Alberta

Kiewit provided early contractor involvement services followed by construction for a compressor station which included a 30 megawatt, GE PGT 25+ gas turbine and a PCL 901 compressor. The project involved work in both brownfield and greenfield environments with specialized underground boring and tie-ins to existing facilities.

This expansion increased total natural gas transportation capacity of the system by 355 million standard cubic feet per day, efficiently meeting the increasing transportation needs of customers in the Montney, Duvernay and Deep basin areas.
