IS 37 Solar Farm
Morven, North Carolina
In support of Dominion Energy’s goal of adding carbon-free, cost-effective power generation to their portfolio, Kiewit subsidiary, MEC, constructed this 79-megawatt photovoltaic-solar facility.
The scope included the installation of over 344,000 solar panels, 167,000 feet of underground duct-bank conduit, 3,900,000 feet of low-voltage cable, 356,000 plug modules, 500 combiner boxes and 39 inverters.
MEC brought this large-scale project online one month ahead of schedule despite weather delays and training a new local craft team.
