Job Superintendent/Project Manager
This position is responsible for coordinating the efforts of all personnel to ensure a smooth-running job. Responsibilities also include safety, cost control, crew schedules and coordination of subcontractors to ensure on-time project completion. Typically, these individuals have between six to 10 years of experience, a heavy civil/transportation background and a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Project Engineer
Project Engineers are motivated and self-starters with three to six years experience in heavy civil/transportation. Responsibilities include problem solving in both the office and field, and assisting the project manager, including scheduling. A B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required.
Field Superintendents
Field Superintendents are responsible for overseeing field operations, supervising foremen and craft employees, and job safety. Five-plus years of hands-on experience in heavy civil/transportation construction is needed.
Survey Party Chief
Five-plus years of experience is required with a familiarity in state-of-the-art survey equipment and knowledge of roadway layout and staking. Computer skills are a plus.
Master Mechanics
Five-plus years of experience in heavy construction equipment management is required.
Job Office Manager
A B.S. degree in Accounting/Business Administration or equivalent job experience and a good working knowledge of computers with word processing and spreadsheet experience are required. This position handles all accounting and administrative functions in a field construction office, including payroll and monthly cost reporting.
