Kiewit Power Names Management Promotion at Lenexa Office

Lenexa, KS — Kiewit Power Engineers Co. recently announced the promotion of John Burns to Senior Vice President of Operations and John Kruse to Senior Vice President of Business Development. Burns will continue his responsibilities as head of the project operations department. Kruse will be responsible for managing the business development team and their efforts.
Burns joined the company in 1987 when he was hired as project manager. He is a registered professional engineer and has more than 30 years of power industry experience. Burns has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and is a member of Pi Tau Sigma, the National Mechanical Engineering Honor Society. Burns has an outstanding past performance and adds immense value to the Kiewit Power organization.
Kruse joined the company in 1999 when he was hired as project manager. He is a registered professional engineer and has more than 20 years of power industry experience. Kruse has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Kruse has excelled in his experience at the company as a project manager, area manager and regional business development manager.
