Kiewit Power Awards Employees for Quality Work

Lenexa, KS — Several talented Kiewit Power Engineers employees were recently honored for their high standards of excellence and their dedication to innovative power design and delivery. The 2009 quality award recipients – listed with their category – are:
- Engineering Innovation Award: Richard Moncayo, engineering manager on the Nelson Energy Center
- Design Quality Award: Chad Bumgardner, lead structural designer on the Chouteau 2 Power Project
- Commitment to Excellence Award: Robert Adams, PC Support/Helpdesk Technician in the Information Technology Department
Each of the three employees received a $1,000 award. Bill Thomas, Michael Hicks, Bill Keuchel, Roger Toms, Shana Gross and Michael Kane received a cash prize and recognition as runners-up for the awards. Annual quality awards are just one component of Kiewit Power Engineers’ extensive, company-wide quality program designed to sustain the company’s integrity and reputation as a dependable leader in the power industry.
The quality awards are announced during a ceremony at the company’s annual district meeting. This year’s meeting focused on Kiewit’s commitment to integrity, innovation and performance while also celebrating Kiewit Corporation’s 125 years. More than 400 Kiewit Power Engineers employees attended.
