Kiewit Power Announces Position on National Concrete Committee

Lenexa, KS — Kiewit Power Engineers Co. recently announced the appointment of Timothy Dement as an associate member to the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Committee 307, Concrete Chimneys. The ACI Committee 307 is a national committee with a mission to develop and report information on cast-in-place and precast concrete chimneys.
Dement joined Kiewit Power in 2006 when he was hired as a structural engineer. In addition to the ACI, Dement is also a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction. He is currently working with the design team for the air quality control systems structures on the Southwest Power Plant, Unit 1 Selective Catalytic Reduction Retrofit Project in Springfield, Mo., and the concrete chimney design for the Sandy Creek Energy Station in Riesel, Texas.
Kruse joined the company in 1999 when he was hired as project manager. He is a registered professional engineer and has more than 20 years of power industry experience. Kruse has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Kruse has excelled in his experience at the company as a project manager, area manager and regional business development manager.
