Community Service

Kiewit Power employees volunteer with numerous organizations across the community, and as a company, we participate in several larger fundraising and community activities throughout the year, including:

March of Dimes

Fundraisers and contests are held each spring to benefit the March of Dimes. The campaign culminates with employees walking in Kansas City's March for Babies. For more information, visit www.marchofdimes.com or www.marchforbabies.org.

Kansas City Corporate Challenge

Corporate Challenge is a chance for area companies to compete against each other in Olympic-style athletic and recreational events to raise money for a local charitable organization. Our company has actively participated since 1998. To learn more, visit www.kccorporatechallenge.com.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)

From silent auctions to poker tournaments, we participate in the fundraising campaign leading up to the JDRF walk each fall. For more information, visit www.jdrf.org.

United Way

Each fall, we organize a pledge drive, barbeque and other events to raise money for the United Way of Greater Kansas City. More information is available at www.unitedwaygkc.org.

Angel Tree and Harvester’s – The Community Food Network

In 2008, we adopted a local daycare through Angel Tree, and employees donated gifts and needed items to help make the children's holiday season a little brighter. We also collect non-perishable food items to give to Harvester’s – The Community Food Network. To learn more, visit www.harvesters.org.

In addition to our primary fund-raising campaigns, our employees hold many causes close to their hearts. Several other philanthropies and volunteer activities Kiewit Power supports include:

  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Susan G. Komen Foundation

  • Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired Trolley Run
