Merle Catherine Chambers Center for the Advancement of Women
Kiewit Construction Company constructed the Merle Catherine Chambers Center for the Advancement of Women. Inspired by Santo Spirito in Florence, the center is viewed as the signature building for the Denver University Campus. The project scope involved the construction of a 32,000-square-foot three-story building.
Island Pacific Academy
Despite some unforeseen challenges, Kiewit Construction Company completed this project two months ahead of schedule and was able to help the Owner save more than $1 million. Completed in September 2004 under a design-assist contract, Island Pacific Academy is the first private school built in fast-growing Kapolei.
Arnett Hall
Kiewit Building Group Inc. and Bennett Wagner & Grody Architects PC recently completed the renovation of Arnett Hall. As the first step in renovating all of the buildings in the Kittredge Complex, the Arnett Hall renovation promotes a living and learning environment by allowing upperclassmen to reside with faculty at a residence hall where classes are held.
Creighton University Hixson - Lied Science Center
The Hixson-Lied Science Center, built by Kiewit Building Group Inc., is a 150,000-square-foot center intended to be Creighton University's main entrance or “front door” on the north side of campus. The team created and maintained a highly detailed construction schedule with all tasks itemized, which resulted in a faster, more cost-effective construction schedule with virtually no disruption in adjacent spaces.
Lutheran High School of the Rockies
Completed two months ahead of schedule, the $8.4 million design-build Lutheran High School of the Rockies project will accommodate 300 students. The 63,000-square-foot building includes classrooms, state-of-the-art science labs, a gymnasium, locker rooms as well as a theatre stage, auditorium and administrative offices.
The Clayton Foundation
The Clayton Foundation awarded Kiewit Building Group Inc. to design-assist the construction of a 32,000-square-foot child development center and the renovation of a 4,400-square-foot powerhouse. The completed Clayton Educare facility consists of two facilities equipped with classrooms and administrative offices to provide underprivileged children and their parents a place to develop a solid foundation for future learning.
